The box contains crystal powder, crystal grains, a growing beaker with lid, a rock base (quartz specimen), a wooden stirrer, a magnifying glass, protective gloves, and a multilingual instruction leaflet. Hot water is the only thing you need to supply yourself.
How long does it take for the crystals to grow?
Crystals form within approximately 48 hours of setting up the experiment. You dissolve the crystal powder in boiling water, add the rock base, sprinkle the crystal grains, then close the lid and leave it undisturbed while the blue crystal grows around the base.
Does the Buki Mini Lab Crystals kit require adult supervision?
Adult supervision is required throughout the experiment. The kit contains chemicals that must not come into contact with eyes or mouth, and boiling water is needed to dissolve the crystal powder. For this reason it is rated 8 years and over and is not suitable for younger children.
