The set comes with 16 illustrated picture cards. Each card slides underneath the transparent pegboard so children can match the 48 coloured pegs to the design, or remove the card entirely and create their own free-form mosaic.
Are the pegs safe for a 2-year-old to use?
Quercetti designed the Junior range specifically for children aged 2 and up. The pegs measure 32 mm in diameter - large enough to avoid being a choking hazard at this age - and are made from phthalate-free, non-toxic plastic manufactured in Italy to EN 71 safety standards.
Can the board be used upright, or only flat on a table?
Two triangular plastic stands are included, allowing the pegboard to be propped up at an easel-like angle for upright play. It can equally lie flat on any surface. When play is finished, the board locks onto the top of the carry case as a lid, keeping all 48 pegs and cards safely stored inside.
