Does this suit replace armbands and a separate sun hat?
The suit is designed to do exactly that. The built-in EPE foam buoyancy aids remove the need for armbands, the UPF 50+ fabric covers the full body, and the integrated hood protects the head and neck - so no separate sun hat is required. A reusable EVA beach bag is included to carry everything together.
Are the buoyancy aids certified to a recognised safety standard?
The built-in foam inserts are fully compliant with EN13138-1:2021, the European water safety standard for buoyancy aids. The suit has passed the associated water safety test. It is not a life jacket and does not protect against drowning; constant adult supervision is required at all times.
Can the foam inserts be removed for washing?
The layered EPE foam buoyancy inserts lift out of the suit before washing. The suit itself should be hand washed in warm water only. Removing the inserts first protects both the foam and the fabric during the wash.
