What batteries does the Engino GinoBot set need, and are they included?
The GinoBot controller unit runs on 3 x AAA batteries, which are not included in the box. Having a fresh set ready before the first build session means children can get straight to controlling their robot once it is assembled.
How does the app control work, and which devices are compatible?
The free Engino KidCAD app connects to the GinoBot via Bluetooth (and Wi-Fi on the IN90 version), letting children drive the robot and trigger functions from a smartphone or tablet. It also provides interactive 3D building instructions for all 10 bonus models, with rotate, zoom, and step-by-step explode views. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Is the Engino GinoBot compatible with other Engino sets?
All Engino building parts use the same patented connector system, so components from this set are fully compatible with other sets across the Engino Inventor range. The GinoBot controller unit can also be expanded with third-party hardware such as Arduino, micro:bit, and Raspberry Pi for more advanced coding projects as skills develop.
