The ride-on runs on a 12V rechargeable battery, which is included in the box along with a charger. Rollplay recommends an initial charge of 24 hours before the first drive. The 2.4GHz parental remote control requires 2 x AAA batteries; check the box contents on delivery as these are not always included with the remote.
The 2.4GHz remote handset gives parents full directional control - steering, forward, reverse, and an instant stop function - so they can guide or halt the car at any point. Children can still operate the foot pedal and steering wheel normally when the parent is not actively overriding, making the handset a genuine safety tool rather than a simple kill switch.
The car is equipped with rubber non-slip tyre strips designed to provide traction on both hard floors and grass. At up to 5 km/h the 12V motor has enough torque to handle gentle uneven terrain, though steep inclines or very soft ground are best avoided.
