The set contains four animal stencils - elephant, crocodile, lion and zebra - plus two double-sided plastic stencil cards featuring four animal print patterns: zebra stripes, leopard spots, and two additional safari prints. Layering any animal shape with any print gives sixteen different combinations in total.
SES Creative pavement chalks are designed to wash away from outdoor hard surfaces such as paving slabs and tarmac with water. As with all chalks, some surfaces are more porous than others, so a light rinse is usually sufficient on smooth paving. Parents should check individual clothing care labels, though SES Creative chalks are formulated to be washable from most fabrics.
The set is rated for ages 3 and over. The chalk sticks are chunky and short enough for small hands to hold without breaking, and the rigid plastic stencils are straightforward to place and hold flat. Younger children in the 3 to 4 age range will benefit from a little adult guidance when first using the print stencils, but the basic animal outlines can be traced independently from the start.
