The SES Creative Casting and Painting Dinosaurs set gives children a hands-on craft experience that takes them from mixing to painting their own plaster dinosaur figures. To get started, children mix the included safe plaster powder with water and pour it into the detailed mould, which features three dinosaurs – a T-Rex, a Stegosaurus, and a Triceratops. Once the plaster has set hard, the figures pop out cleanly and are ready for decorating with the six paint colours supplied in the set.

The set includes three separate latex moulds representing a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Stegosaurus, and a Triceratops. Each mould can be reused, so there is enough plaster in the pack to cast several sets of figures - reviewers typically report getting at least three to four complete casts from one bag of plaster.
Both the plaster powder and the six included paints are super-washable, rinsing off skin and most textiles with warm water. SES Creative formulates all its craft materials to meet stringent European toy safety standards, making the kit suitable for children from age 5 upwards.
The plaster is a fast-drying calcium sulphate formula. Figures are typically firm enough to remove from the moulds after around 2-3 hours, but for best results allow them to cure for a full 24 hours before painting so the surface is completely hard and the colours go on cleanly.
