Frequently Asked Questions

The motor unit runs on 3 x AAA batteries, which are not included in the box. The motor features forward and reverse switching as well as slow and high speed settings, so having fresh batteries ready before the first build makes a noticeable difference to performance.
The set builds 10 motorised models in total. Printed instructions cover the main race car build, while the remaining models are accessed via Engino's free kidCAD 3D Viewer app, available on Android, iOS and Windows devices. A smartphone or tablet is required to follow those additional step-by-step guides.
All parts use the standard Engino multi-directional connector system, so they can be combined with other Engino Inventor sets to expand the number of possible builds. The motor unit is also compatible with other motorised Engino kits in the same range.
