Each foam creature has a small loop on its back. The hook at the end of the plastic fishing line threads through that loop to make a catch, so children need to aim carefully and manoeuvre the line - building the hand-eye coordination that makes this more than just a splashing toy.
The foam shapes float on any water surface, so they work just as well in a paddling pool or water table as in the bath. Damp foam also sticks to smooth tiles and bathroom walls, giving children extra ways to arrange and display their sea creatures after a fishing session.
The set contains eight foam figures based on ocean animals. From the box imagery these include a shark, dolphin, crab, starfish, seahorse, octopus, and a pufferfish - all in bright pink, yellow, and teal colourways. A full contents list is printed on the side of the box.
