The kit contains a soap base, red dye, blue dye, two tubes of cosmetic glitter, a reusable multi-shape mould tray, a pipette, a mixing stick, and a step-by-step instruction booklet. All the materials needed to make multiple batches of glitter soaps are included in the box.
The soap base is melted using a microwave, and adult supervision is required for this step. Once the melted soap has been coloured and poured into the mould by the child, no further heat is needed - the soaps set at room temperature before being popped out and used.
The soaps are made from a cosmetically tested soap base and cosmetic-grade glitter, so they are fully functional and safe to use on skin during bathtime. Because they set into decorative heart, flower and butterfly shapes, they also make a handmade gift once wrapped up.
