The blades are made from plastic with a blunt, rounded tip engineered to cut through paper only. They will not cut hair, fingers, or fabric, which is confirmed on the packaging. Children can use them for paper crafts, collage, and cutting shapes without the risks associated with metal blades.
The handles are ambidextrous, so left- and right-handed children aged 3-6 can both use them comfortably. No separate left-handed version is needed.
