After some time submerged in water, the egg’s shell will begin to break apart, revealing the baby dragon hidden inside. The excitement doesn’t end there; leave the newly hatched dragon in the water and it will continue to grow up to ten times its original size. Watching the dragon emerge and grow is a great way to introduce a fun science concept while encouraging patience.

Place the egg in a bowl of water and hatching begins in approximately 24 hours as the shell starts to crack. Full hatching - with the shell fully broken apart and the dragon at maximum size - takes around seven days in total.
There are four different dragon designs in the range, and the figure inside each egg is a genuine surprise. Children won't know which colourful dragon they've got until the shell has fully broken open after several days in water.
Once fully grown, the dragon figure can be removed from the water and left to air-dry. As it dries it will reduce in size again, which means it can be placed back in fresh water for another slow-grow experience - as long as the original shell is no longer needed.
