The mould tray produces twelve different unicorn-themed relief figures, including a full unicorn, a unicorn head, a rainbow with clouds, a shooting star, and an oval medallion piece that can be worn as a pendant using the included blue satin ribbon. Each figure is a 3D raised casting rather than a flat tile, giving plenty of surface detail to paint.
SES Creative describes the mixture as fast-drying; allowing around 30-60 minutes at room temperature is typically sufficient for the plaster to firm up, though leaving the figures to dry for longer - ideally an hour or more - before removing them from the mould reduces the risk of breakage. An adult should supervise the de-moulding step for younger children.
The plastic mould tray is fully reusable. Once a set of figures has been cast and removed, the mould can be cleaned and used again with additional plaster - making it straightforward to cast further batches in different colour schemes or to replace any figures that break during painting.
