This SES Creative Beedz Art 3D Butterfly and Beetle Iron-On Bead Set lets children build dimensional wall decorations by stacking flat bead layers on top of one another. The kit uses a layering technique to turn flat iron-on bead panels into raised, three-dimensional butterfly and beetle figures that can be displayed on a wall. Everything needed is included in the box: a hexagonal pegboard, 1,600 iron-on beads in a special mix of colours, foam tape for assembling the layers, and step-by-step instructions to guide children through each stage of the build.

The process works in stages – children first arrange the iron-on beads on the pegboard to form the separate flat layers for each insect design. An adult then irons the pieces to fuse the beads together. Once cooled, the foam tape is used to fix the layers on top of one another, building up the finished 3D butterfly and 3D beetle. The foam tape creates genuine depth between each layer, making the completed figures stand out visibly from the wall. The box contains 1,600 mixed-colour iron-on beads, one reusable hexagonal pegboard, foam tape strips for building the 3D layers, ironing paper, and a printed instruction sheet. No glue or additional tools are required, though a household iron - operated by an adult - is needed to fuse the beads.
Each insect is built as several flat bead sections on the pegboard. Once an adult irons the pieces to fuse them solid, the sections are peeled off and stacked on top of one another using the included foam tape. The foam tape holds each layer slightly proud of the one beneath it, creating a raised, sculptural result that stands out when displayed on a wall.
The pegboard is reusable and compatible with standard 5 mm iron-on beads from the wider SES Creative Beedz range. Once the butterfly and beetle designs are complete, crafters can load it with fresh beads to create their own freehand patterns or follow designs from other Beedz Art sets.
